Alice K. (Anderson) Quaintance, age 71, of Menasha, passed away due to ALS and Frontal Temporal Dementia at her home on Wednesday, January 20, 2016. She was born on July 12, 1944 in Stambaugh, Michigan to Catherine and Walter Anderson. Alice was united in marriage to Joe Quaintance in New London, WI on August 27, 1967. They lived in Menasha most of their married life. Alice loved to sit in the sun, boat, take Harley trips, ride in the corvette and especially travel to Hawaii and St. Maarten every year. She graduated from Iron River High School and worked for over 38 years in the Claims Department at Secura Insurance. She also did payroll and was an integral part of their family business Todd Steven & Associates, Inc.
Alice will be greatly missed by her loving husband of over 51 years, Joe Quaintance; their children: Todd Quaintance, Marc (Betsy) Quaintance; a step-grandchild, Allie; her siblings: Sharon (Ray) Palmer, Faye (Jack) Veeser, Tom (Pam) Anderson, Lynn (Rick) Taetsch, and Carol (Gene) Bissing; siblings-in-law: Judy Quaintance, Jeannie Hogan, Patty (Dan) Parker, Dan (Arlene) Quaintance, Millie Anderson and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Bud, and parents-in-law.
The Memorial Service for Alice will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Wichmann Funeral Home- Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwaukee Street in Menasha. The family will greet relatives and friends from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the ALS Association in memory of Alice.
