Alice C. Voeks
Shiocton
Age 89, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, November 19, 2001 following a lengthy illness. She was born on July 20, 1912 in the Town of Center the daughter of the late William and Minnie (Scharmann) Krueger. On November 7, 1936 she married Rhinold Voeks; they owned and operated farms in the Towns of Center and Ellington for many years until they retired in 1983. He passed away on November 29, 1996. She was a faithful member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Center.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister and will be missed by
Her four daughters Helen Johnson of Stephensville and her children Rhonda (Mike) Settergren and Jodie (Tom) Wynboom all of Shiocton, Kevin (Kristy) Johnson of Hortonville, and Terry (Tammy) Johnson of Symco; Lois (Roger) Springstroh of Appleton and their children Jeff Springstroh and his fiancé Colleen of Kaukauna, Randy (Michelle) Springstroh, Danny (Christy) Springstroh all of Appleton, and Kathy (Kevin) Moeller of Seymour; Dorothy Schimmelpfenning of Rhinelander and her children Debbie Schimmelpfenning and her fiance Scott of New London, Donna (Steve) Koebe of Kimberly, and Dawn (Tony) Knorr of Rhinelander; Darlene (Bill) Schroeder and their children Rick (Angela) Schroeder, and Jean and Mark Schroeder all of Appleton; her son Darrell Voeks of Fox Lake, Wisconsin and his daughter Rachel Voeks of Juneau, Wisconsin; 17 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Mabel Harp of Appleton, several nieces and nephews, her sisters-in-law Gladys, Elaine, and Vera Krueger; and Clara Rohloff, and Myrtle Ahrens all of Appleton; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Victor (Vi) Voeks of New London.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters Clara Krueger and Lillian Harp, her four brothers Frank, Walter, Willard, and Wilmer Krueger; two grandsons, David Schroeder and Michael Voeks. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law Gene Johnson, three sisters-in-law Meta Raddatz, Erma Sigl, and Esther Schroeder; five brothers-in-law Edward and Otto Harp, Norbert Voeks, Walter Raddatz, and Carl Schroeder.
Funeral services for Alice will be conducted on Wednesday, November 21, 2001 at 2:00 PM at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, on State Highway 47, north of Appleton in the Town of Center with the Rev. Jeffrey W. Suhr officiating. Entombment will take place in the Star of Hope Chapel Mausoleum at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the services. A memorial fund is being established.
Dear Lord, take our mother into your loving arms and grant her eternal rest. Her suffering is ended.
The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at Good Shepherd Home in Seymour for all of the care and concern they showed to our mother.
