Alex Materi

Alex Materi, age 55, of Little Chute, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at his home on May 14, 2014. Alex was born May 11, 1959, son of the late Peter Materi and Dorothy (Mathe) Olson. He married Anita Schroeder on December 9, 1989 in a ceremony at St Ann's Church in West Allis.

Alex was a sports fanatic who enjoyed watching the Packers, playing golf and spending time with family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and the gift of gab that made him the life of the party. Alex easily made friends and was great with children. He was an intelligent man who religiously worked on crossword puzzles everyday.

Alex will be deeply missed by his wife of 24 years, Anita Materi; his children: Lisa Milczarski, Matthew Materi, Amanda (John) Ninabuck, Jacob Materi and Ryan Materi; and his grandchildren Taylor, Ariah, Seth and Rayleigh. He is further survived by his sisters: Donna (Rick) Materi and Jean (Alan) Kluka; his brothers: Dwain (Darlene) Materi and Bruce Materi; his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Corrine and Russell Roger Schroeder; his sister-in-law; Nadine (Rick) Duncan; brother-in-law; Dale (Wendy) Schroeder; his first wife Jennifer Materi and her daughter Holly Kromraj; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step father Lavern Olson.

A memorial service for Alex will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the JANSEN FARGO FUNERAL HOME, 204 E. Kimberly Ave, Kimberly WI. A time of visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
