Alan J. Stachowicz, 77, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at his home. He was born on December 4, 1941, in Appleton, the son of Andrew and Frances (Hawley) Stachowicz. Alan loved riding motorcycles, searching for a good bargain, and cooking. He was a chess master, who will be remembered for providing unconditional love to his children in his own unique way, along with being very informational in the areas of physics and engineering.
Alan is survived by his 6 children: Michael (Kate Larson), Lisa Nuske, Heather (Jamie) Trudeau, Samuel (fiancé Brittany Cardin), Sara, and Nicholas (Megan) Stachowicz; 4 grandchildren: Timothy Trudeau, Caiden, Mason, and Decklan Stachowicz; 4 siblings: Leah Garvey, Jan, Neil (Mary Beth), and Evan (Ann) Stachowicz; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm, on Friday, February 8, 2019, at the Wichmann Funeral Home - Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwaukee St., with Deacon Don Schultz officiating. Visitation will be on Friday at the chapel from 4:00 pm until the time of the service.
Alan’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of ADVOCAP for supplying meals to Alan, as well as the staff at ThedaCare at Home for their care and compassion.
