Aileen B. DuFrane

November 7, 1927 — March 4, 2001

Age 73, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2001 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. Aileen was born in Neenah on November 7, 1927, daughter of the late Elizabeth Clough and Arthur Clough of Neenah. In November of 1945, she married Ruben DuFrane; he preceded her in death in May of 1989.

Aileen is survived by six sons: James (Barbara) DuFrane of Kaukauna, Gary (Elaine) DuFrane of Oconto, Greg (Linda) DuFrane of Little Chute, Paul (Robin) DuFrane of Hortonville, Hazen (Judy) DuFrane of Kaukauna, and Tracy (Deb) DuFrane of Kimberly; five daughters: Valerie (Daniel) Fredericks of Appleton, Deborah (Larry) Gerrits of Kimberly, Leah (Michael) Hoks of Wrightstown, Dawn (Jim) Kappell of Kaukauna, and Robin (David) Munes of Kaukauna; twenty-six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five brothers: Arthur Clough of Appleton, Hazen (Mary) Clough of Boulder Junction, Herschel (Kathy) Clough of Neenah, Darrell (Betty) Clough of Neenah, and Lynn (Barb) Clough of Winchester; five sisters: Deanne (James) Turner of Neenah, Leah Sokel of Menasha, Beth Robinson of Sayner, Kathleen (Dale) Peterson of Neenah, and Mary (Orin) Sayner of Sayner; and a brother-in-law Ernest Johnson. Aileen is further survived by Ruben’s brothers and sisters: Harold (June) DuFrane of Nevada, Edward (Kathy) DuFrane of Arlington, Virginia, Agnes Smarzinski of Menasha, Dolores Boudry of Menasha, Rosella (Marvin) Schumacher of DePere, and Carol (Lyle) Hietpas of Little Chute; by two sisters-in-law Mary DuFrane of Appleton and Marion DuFrane of Little Chute, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. Aileen was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth, a sister Millie Johnson, brothers-in-law Joseph Smarzinski, Eugene Sokel, Levi DuFrane, Lawrence DuFrane, and by sisters-in-law Frances (Carl) Zwiers and Myrtle (Herman) Sauer.

A memorial service for Aileen will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 8, 2001 at the funeral home chapel. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 PM until the hour of the service.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the physicians and nurses at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Mercy Medical Center, and the Neenah Dialysis Center. You all took wonderful care of our mother.
