Age 76, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at home after a short battle with cancer, with family by her side. She was born to the late Herman and Catherine (Verbeten) Klister on June 8, 1927. On February 1, 1945 she married Henry Hendricks in Baraboo. They enjoyed 58 years together. Her interests were golfing, crafts, reading and country music. She also liked roses and birds. She was very devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family was always number one to her. Her greatest joy was making other people happy. Her warm smile and sense of humor was a joy to everyone who knew her. She worked at the school lunch program at St. Nicholas School for 24 years. She enjoyed working with the children. She was a member of the Christian Mother Society.

Aggie is survived by her husband Henry and five children: Donna (Jerry) Smith of Madison, Jeff (Darlene) Hendricks of Little Chute, Yvonne (Mike) Garvey of Vandenbroek, Vicki (Joel) Schulz of Stevens Point and Todd (Tanya) Hendricks of Freedom; 14 grandchildren: Shawn (Pam) Smith, Stacy (Scott) McCullough, Scott Smith, Traci (Glenn) Hipwell; Travis, Kelly and Kerri Hendricks; Erica, Michael and Cole Garvey; Jeremy and Nicole Schulz; Meagen and Danielle Hendricks; and Garrett Lunn; and four great grandchildren: Allison Smith; Kassi and Breanna McCullough, and Noah Hipwell; six sisters: Florence Van Schindel, Mary Jane Hendricks, Rosemary Smith, Kathleen (Robert) Ostrenga, Carol Van Dyke, and Shirley (Ron) Stier; five sisters and brothers-in-law: Inez Ebben, Art Hendricks, Gladys Hendricks, Ange (Ves) Geurts, Theresa Schmidt. Aggie is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and many special friends.

Aggie is preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Lynn; infant granddaughter, Mary Smith; brother, Clifford “Jim” Klister; and inlaws: Martin and Gertrude Hendricks; Clarence Van Schindel, Clarence (Rick) Smith, Ves Van Dyke, Pete and Minnie Hietpas, Les and Loretta Diedrich, Ed Ebben, Martha Hendricks, Ed Hendricks, Leo Hendricks, and Joe Schmidt.

The funeral liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2003 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, with Fr. Dennis Ryan officiating. Friends will be received at the Fargo Funeral Home on Thursday, August 21, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. and at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the liturgy. Burial will be at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Freedom.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Affinity Hospice for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.

She had a special way that warmed the hearts of everyone who knew her-and the qualities that made her the wonderful person she was have left us all with many beautiful memories…
