EBBEN, AGNES M.
(nee Joosten)

Agnes Ebben, of Kaukauna, age 90, went peacefully to her eternal home on Saturday, March 8, 2008. She was born September 8, 1917 in Little Chute, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Van Groll) Joosten. On June 16, 1936 she married Arthur Ebben. They resided in the Town of Vanden Broek most of their lives. Agnes was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She loved to crochet, play sheepshead, garden and enjoyed spending time up north at her cottage with her children and grandchildren. Agnes was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be lovingly remembered.

She is survived by her children: Joan (James) Effa, Seymour; Joyce (Thomas) Unker, Green Bay; Patricia (James) Albright, Omro; Arthur (Ellen) Ebben, Kaukauna; Carmen (Bruce) Janssen, Bennett; Gene (Margie) Ebben, Kaukauna and Greg (Sal) Ebben, Lena; son-in-law: Donald Reader, Kaukauna; 36 grandchildren and 61 great grandchildren. Agnes is further survived by her siblings: Joseph (Marion) Joosten, Kimberly; Minnie Van Rooy, Kaukauna; Martha (Martin) Vanden Boogard, Little Chute; Richard (Beverly) Joosten, Little Chute; sisters-in-law: Inez Ebben, Little Chute; Ceil Van Asten, Kaukauna and Delia Joosten, Kimberly; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur Ebben, daughter Charla Mae Reader, two infant sons, two grandsons, Andrew and Alan Ebben, great grandson, Jason DeGroot, sister Mary Gloudemans, brother Martin Joosten and two younger siblings.

The funeral liturgy for Agnes will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Interment will take place at St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. The visitation will take place at the church on Thursday from 9:00 – 10:45 am.
