Agnes Gerrits, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. Agnes was born on February 27, 1934 to Helmuth and Nina Peterman in Bonduel. She shared partnership in Mel's Outer Limits with her late husband Mel and enjoyed laughing and joking with customers and friends. She enjoyed bingo, crafts, bowling and golfing. Agnes also liked watching the Brewers, NASCAR and GSN. Most of all Agnes loved her family and the summer cookouts and all the time they spent together. Those times will always be cherished.
Agnes is survived by three children; Vicki (Jason) Montanye, Kaukauna, Doug (special friend Sharon) Fuhs, Kimberly, Darlene (Brian) Kersten, Kaukauna, four grandchildren; Travis Kersten, Nikki (fiancé Cory Koester) Kersten, Kari Fuhs and Linsey (Shawn) Weyenberg, great grandchildren; Lacie Jo and Sadie Rose Weyenberg and Parker Koester, her siblings; Elly Jones, Roger (special friend Marcine) Peterman, Shirley (Richard) Bartman, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She will be especially missed by her snuggle buddy Beau.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, a step father, Lester Gettlinger, and her husbands; Alvin Fuhs in 1968 and Melvin Gerrits in 2010.
The funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 4:30 PM at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1:30 PM until the time of the mass at church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Aurora Health Care, Aurora Hospice, and Affinity Visiting Nurses. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
