Agnes E. Krumnaker

Age 96, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2004 at an area nursing center. Agnes was born in Appleton on September 4, 1907, the daughter of the late George and Louise (Dunsirn) Doerfler. On January 17, 1942, she married Albert Krumnaker; he preceded her in death in 1990. Agnes enjoyed good luck at the area casinos. She also enjoyed watching comedy and musical shows. Time spent dining out with her family and enjoying the music of Tony Bennett were also favorite pastimes.

She is survived by two nieces: Ellen (Jim) Conway of Appleton and Irene Krueger of Neenah; a nephew: Robert (Doris) Schmidt of Neenah; several grandnieces and nephews: Laurie Conway of Appleton, Cheryl Steckling of Neenah, Sandy (Jim) Peotter of Alaska, Mark Steckling of Neenah, Scott Steckling of Neenah, Linda (Jeff) Sell of Menasha, Jim (JoAnn) Schmidt of Neenah, and Tom (Renee) Schmidt of Menasha; several special friends: Joan and Dick Hill, Gloria and Gary Justham, Bernie Kuehl, and Mae Riehs. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Al, brothers George Doerfler, Joe (Doris) Doerfler, Claire (Ann) Doerfler; sisters Mae (Art) Schultz, Laura (Gus) Hersekorn, Ceale (Len) Fischer, Elizabeth (Ray) Schmidt, and Lila (Harold) Doerfler.

A memorial service for Agnes will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at the funeral home chapel with Fr. David Belongea officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the hour of the service.

The family would like to thank the staff at Oakridge Gardens Garden View Assisted Living, Dr. Dan Heyerdahl and his staff, and Debbie Cannon for the wonderful way you took care of Agnes. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
