Age 89, died Thursday morning, May 23, 2002. She was born April 6, 1913, to the late Louis C. and Elsie (Palmbach) Huebner, in Greenville and had been an area resident all of her life. Adeline married Martin J. Jooss on November 27, 1937 in Greenville. She had been employed as a secretary for Trinity Lutheran Church and then by Aid Association for Lutherans for 22 years, retiring in 1975. Adeline was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, enjoyed playing bridge and traveling and was a volunteer at Appleton Medical Center. Survivors include her five children and their spouses, John and Shirley Jooss, Appleton; Dr. Robert and Judy Jooss, Twin Lakes, WI; Barbara and Mel Hechel, Darboy; Thomas and Toni Jooss, Pell Lake, WI; Richard Jooss, Grand Chute; seven grandchildren, Vicki Dennis, Michele (Jay) Reagan, Jennifer (Martin) Swoboda, Kristina Hechel, Matthew (Sara) Hechel, Erin Jooss and her fiance, John, and David Jooss; three great grandchildren, Brady Reagan, Caden Swoboda, and Macey Hechel. She is further survived by three sisters and a brother-in-law, Edith Kalbus, Appleton; Lorraine Schaffer, Hilbert; Mae and Len Baehman, Hortonville; a brother and sister-in-law, Luther “Mike” and Ada Huebner, Hortonville; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Huebner, Greenville. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin J.“Red” Jooss, on November 9, 1975, a brother Gerald “Pat” Huebner, two brothers-in-law, Carl Kalbus and Matt Schaffer. Funeral services for Adeline will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 209 South Allen Street, with Reverend Ray M. Claussen officiating. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established for Trinity Lutheran Church.
