Adela M. Heidemann

Age 102, died on Thursday, September 18, 2008, with her family by her side. Adela was born on December 1, 1905 in the Town of Buchanan daughter of the late August and Mary (Gergs) Wundrow. She married Bernard Heidemann on November 21, 1933. They were married for 66 years before Bernard died in 1999. Adela was a charter member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and Riverside Cemetery in Appleton. Church was very important to Adela. One of her favorite hobbies was playing the organ by ear for members of her family. Adela is survived by her brother, Clarence (Ethel) Wundrow, Town of Buchanan; her sister, Hazel Norman, Appleton; and her sister-in-law, Myrtle Wundrow, Little Chute. She is further survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, Adela is preceded in death by her brothers, Harvey, Elmer, Ray, Arthur, Walter, Leonard Wundrow, a sister Elsie Warren, and an infant brother Robert. She is also preceded by her brother-in-law, Lawrence Norman.
Funeral services for Adela will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2008 at OUR SAVIOUR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3009 N. Meade Street, Appleton, with Rev. Beth Macha officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 12 noon until the time of services. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established for Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.
The family would like to thank the staff at Appleton Health Care Center and Heartland Hospice for all the care given to Adela.
