Barney, Ada "Dulice"

Ada "Dulice" Barney, Appleton, age 93, passed away on Tuesday morning, October 9, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born on September 3, 1914, in Negaunee, Michigan to the late Richard J. and Edith E. (Hocking) Roberts. She was a graduate of Kimberly High School and Actual Business College. On March 7, 1940, she married Milo Barney, he preceded her in death. Ada is a retiree of Kimberly-Clark Paper Corporation. She was a very outgoing person who cared deeply for her family, adored her granddaughters, loved playing Bridge, knitting, and crocheting, partying, playing games, and watching her family enjoy themselves.

She will be sadly missed by her son, William Barney, Shiocton; granddaughters: Diane (Sp. Friend Kevin Nonaka) Barney, and Kristin (Justin) Bahnsen, both of Tucson, AZ; a special daughter, Shelley (Dan) Borreson. She is further survived by her much-loved nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Grace (Primo) Frassetto.

Funeral services for Ada will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2007, at 12 p.m. at the Wichmann Funeral Home (537 North Superior Street). Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ada's name can be made to the charity of your choice.

The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the entire staff of Franciscan Care Center, especially Betty and Beulah for the loving care and compassion given to Ada. An additional thank you is extended to the nurses and staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital for their care and concern for Ada on the morning she passed away.
